15/02/07 Construction Tender Update
The tender process is nearly complete, with construction and electrical engineering companies shortlisted to carry out the works, worth approximately £2 million. The Contractor who is awarded the construction project is likely to use local quarries and cement plants together with local plant hire firms, haulage companies, hotels, and other local services. 5/10/05 Parham Airfield Wind Farm - plans approved
Suffolk Coastal District Council has today given planning consent for the Parham Airfield Wind Farm. The 6 turbine wind farm will provide the equivalent energy needs for over 4,000 local homes, over 8% of homes within the council area. The project will also save around 15,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases each year.
